(SCRAP) MATTERS
The technique of electroplating is used used widely all around the world to coat a cheap metal in an aesthetic layer of precious metal. ‘Scrap-topia’ elevates this technique from a superficial surface treatment into something more essential; a method with which metals can be recycled and purified. By harnessing electrical current to reclaim ions of waste copper and deposit them on a non-metallic mould, Marlo produces pure recycled copper samples and vessels that can be returned to the bath for reuse at any point.
